چکیده
ing 2605 g was found to have bilateral supraclavicular masses at 13 days of life. He had persistent pulmonary hypertension of the newborn and thrombocytopenia. Delivery was by cesarean section for nonreassuring fetal status, and Apgar scores were 5 at 1 minute and 8 at 5 minutes. Initial radiographs of the chest demonstrated abnormal supraclavicular fullness bilaterally (Figure 1), and soft tissue neck sonography demonstrated hyperechoic masses involving the supraclavicular region bilaterally with internal vascular flow and hyperechoic bands. Differential considerations included lipoma, lipofibroma, hemangioma, and lymphangioma. Computed tomography (CT) of the chest and neck were subsequently performed to evaluate the masses for the presence of fat (Figure 2). Hypodense masses were demonstrated within the axilla, supraclavicular fossa, and lower neck bilaterally. Peripheral nodular enhancement was present within the axillae. Differential considerations included mixed venolymphatic malformation, hemangioma, and lymphoproliferative disorder. There was no evidence of lymphadenopathy within the chest or neck. Subsequent magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the chest demonstrated symmetric and confluent soft tissue extending from Radiology Report

The Effect of Aerobic Exercises and Octopamine Consumption on Changes in Gene Expression of Caspase-9, NLRP3, AIM2 in Brown Adipose Tissue of Rats after Intoxication with Deep Fried Oil: An Experimental Study
Background and Objectives: Regular aerobic exercises along with herbal supplements can control inflammation. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of aerobic exercises and octopamine consumption on gene changes of NLR family pyrin domain containing 3 (NLRP3), absent in melanoma 2 (AIM2) and caspase 9 in brown adipose tissue in rats after consuming deep fried oil. متن کاملRenaissance of brown adipose tissue.
The recent discovery of functional brown adipose tissue in human adults raised this tissue again into the focus of current investigations concerning human energy homeostasis. Brown fat is a key thermogenic tissue and is essential for non-shivering thermogenesis in the human newborn and hibernating mammals. This review highlights the biological and molecular aspects of brown adipose tissue devel...
متن کاملEffect of Resistance Training, Testosterone, and Phoenix dactylifera on Gene Expression of Adiponectin and GLUT4 and Oxidative Stress Markers in Adipose Tissue of Rats
Background and purpose: The use of testosterone enanthate has increased in athletes, especially in resistance trainings. The present study aimed at comparing the independent and interactive effects of resistance training, testosterone, and Phoenix dactylifera extract on the expression of adiponectin and GLUT4, as well as some oxidative stress indices in brown adipose tissue in male rats. متن کاملBrown Fat and Its Thermoregulatory Role in the Human Neonate
Brown fat is a unique thermogenic organ. Though small in quantity and diffuse in distribution, it plays a vital role in body temperature regulation and energy balance in both animals and humans by its adaptive heat producing capacity. Several factors affect the functional capabilities of brown adipose tissue including nutritional status and maturity of the different organ systems of the body es...
متن کاملRetrieval of precursors for white-type adipose conversion in brown adipose tissue.
A cellular compartment from brown adipose tissue (BAT) of newborn rats was isolated by Percoll-density-gradient centrifugation and was shown to proliferate and to undergo adipose conversion in vitro in primary culture. The features of the effector requirement for adipose conversion as well as the differentiated morphological and biochemical phenotype are almost identical with that of a compartm...
متن کاملResponses of Muscle Mitochondrial Function to Physical Activity: A Literature Review
Skeletal muscles play an active role in regulating the metabolic homeostasis through their ability for relating to adipose tissue and endocrine hormones. Contraction of the skeletal muscle leads to increased release of several myokines, such as irisin, which is able to interact with the adipose tissue. Physical activity promotes the irisin mechanism by augmenting the peroxisomes (PGC1-α) in the...
